Giant star set to explode anytime and you may see it
An infrequent celestial event from 3,000 years ago in deep space might become visible to the naked eye this year as T Coronae Borealis, a giant star, is set to explode. Astronomers predicted its nova in 2024, recurring every 80 years. A nova causes a brief, significant increase in brightness. NASA astronomer Bill Cooke likened observing this to a solar eclipse, describing it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
