Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi killed in helicopter crash

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi was declared dead on Monday morning after his helicopter crashed during a visit to the northwest. Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian and East Azarbaijan Province Governor Malek Rahmati were also on board. Raisi traveled to Tabriz City after inaugurating a dam near the Azerbaijan border. Rescuers spotted the crashed chopper 1.25 miles away Monday.
