The death toll has reached 49, with 184 injured, in a week-long tribal conflict in Parachinar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The fighting began last Wednesday when a gunman fired on a council negotiating a farmland dispute. Clashes started in Bushehr and spread to Piwar, Tangi, Balash Khel, Kharkale, Muqbal, Kunj Alizai, and Para Chamkani. Sources say that the majority of those killed belong to the Shia community.
